Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):
The successful candidates should be educated to diploma/degree level in an appropriate science or engineering discipline or have relevant experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
In addition candidates will have a proven record of achievement in the areas of leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities, organizational skills and innovative thinking
Skills, Competencies and Experience required
The ideal candidate should have:
• Thorough working knowledge of GMP’s and regulatory expectations for manufacturing of APIs.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in related field in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry, across the main areas of responsibility of the role.
• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative and within teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are important.
• Excellent ability to deliver results, with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
• Ability to build relationships internally and externally.
• Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and proactively respond to business needs
Process Engineer reporting to the Technical Team Leader, Production Department, Little Island API.
The successful candidate will work as an integral member of the Production team to deliver on Little Island site strategy and meet overall plant production targets.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
• Ensure through core activities that safety and quality compliance is maintained at all times and plant safety and product quality site goals are met
• -Review new products and synthetic routes in conjunction with Technical Services, Technical Supervision and EHS to select equipment to ensure optimal manufacturing, safety and environmental performance
• -Lead RFT initiatives and be proficient in the use of RFT tools and support Agile manufacturing initiatives.
• -Continually challenging technical solutions to ensure solutions are innovative and that they reflect industry best practice
• -Focusing on process productivity with Technical Supervisor, though developing standard work plans, monitoring performance and implementing process changes that ensure process is consistently achieved
• -Active participation in Process Teams to achieve agreed goals and deliver on Little Island Site Strategy
• -Developing outline scope to enable initiation of capital projects and working as a key interface with Engineering to ensure the projects are progressed through to successful completion
• -Implementing continuous improvements with regard to long term process and equipment capability.
• -Participation in cross site teams within PIP and across company on a global basis as required.
