As a project manager you are a member of the Company Projects team taking care of a wide range of activities where you will act as a bridge between sales, clients and IT development to guarantee the highest level of customer satisfaction.
• Practical financial industry experience in implementing technology projects
• Knowledge of messaging technologies and product integration, FIX, SOAP, XML, Swift should be familiar
• Knowledge of financial markets, trading OTC products, treasury processes
• Organizational, prioritization and planning skills with the ability to manage a large number of concurrent projects
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German or another language
• Ability to balance technical and business issues and to communicate effectively with technical and business experts
• Team player who takes on responsibility and executes tasks independently
• Highly motivated with the ability to quickly adapt to new business processes
• Client centric approach with a passion to create value
• Business or Computer Sciences degree. Master is a plus
• PMP or IPMA Level-D certified is a plus
• 3+ years of project experience in banking, asset management or in a financial technology company
• Must be located in Germany, or willing to come to Germany ( on your own expenses – the company doesn’t help with relocation)
Your responsibilities
• Lead and direct projects, taking responsibility for the entire technology stack and ensuring success through hands on participation
• Consult with software project teams to fit infrastructure to the overall application architecture. Conversely identify when it is necessary to modify the application architecture to accommodate infrastructure needs. Interact with development and business teams to understand requirements and produce effective results
• Work directly with the team lead to consult, coach, and advise on strategy, business alignment, architecture, technology solutions, and the associated impact on the stakeholders
• Integrate and translate complex concepts into tactical action plans
• Focus on automation and streamlining workflows and business processes
• Coordinate and participate in resolution of problems and tasks, selling new ideas and concepts in support of operational goals and objectives
• Provide technical and analytical guidance to team members and does not mind to get his own hands dirty where needed. Perform standard maintenance, diagnostics work and provide technical support to cross-organizational teams and engineering associates
• Develop, provide and maintain positive communication with vendors for diagnosing and rectifying problems and candidate possesses strong inter-personal communication skill
• Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines
• Perform other duties as required
