| Responsibilities | The employer operates Dental Practices in Scotland working within the National Health Service (N.H.S.) generally providing dental care to patients who cannot afford to pay for private care. Generally these practices are located in areas where people live in social housing, are generally in either low paid work or unemployed and many of these communities fall within the definition of “deprived areas”. The successful candidates can expect in Year 1 to receive a salary of around £45,000. In addition there will be payments from the N.H.S. bringing the salary up to a level of around £55,000- £60,000. In Year 2 the candidates will either be offered an enhanced salary package or a package which will include a “buy into equity” scheme enabling them to become partners in the practice within which they work. The employer will be looking for the very best candidates and will seek to put in place a legal agreement to this effect, matched by an additional payment, known as a “golden hello”. The N.H.S. provides additional benefits to all dentists working in the system. | ||||||||||||||||||
